and whereas mrs Mary Poynter by her last will and testament dated 17.11.1733 did give and bequeath unto the overseers of the poor of the parish 300li to be laid out by them as soon as might be after her death in the purchase of lands of inheritance and willed that the rents and profits of the lands when purchased and the interest of 300li till the same should be laid out in the purchase of an estate in land should be yearly distributed by the overseers of the poor of the parish for the time being from time to time in such proportions as they shall think proper to and amongst such poor person and persons inhabitants of this parish who do not receive alms of the parish and of her said will appointed sir Wm Halton bt her executor who on the 5.6.1735 paid 200li to the said 300li which has been laid out at interest for the purposes of the said will it is hereby ordered that the sum of 100li being the remainder of the said legacy of 300li be paid into the hands of the rev mr Thos Bernard mr Jn Hatch mr Oliver Johnson Wm Harvey Jn Page Edw Wash Jas Vince Thos King and Sam Smith Thos Sewell Jn Newton Jn Harrington and Sam Burton to be disbursed of as the said will directs and that they do give the said sir Wm Halton a sufficient release and discharge for the said legacy of 300li Thos Barnard vicar Jn Hatch Oliver Johnson Wm Harvey Jn Page Edw Wash Jas Vince Thos King Sam Smith Thos Sewell Jn Newton Jn Harrington Sam Burton Jn Unwin Ambrose Wright Jn Leaper Jn Pratt Hen May
