in the name of god amen this 6.1.1683 etc. I Anna Day of Earls Colne in the county of Essex widow being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory praised be god therefore do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following first and principally I give my soul into the hands of almighty god who gave it me and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be buried by the discretion of my executors hereafter named and as for that worldly goods god have trusted me with I give and dispose as follow item I give and bequeath unto Anna Crow the daughter of Jn Crow my grandchild the sum of 20li of lawful english money to be paid by my executors hereafter to be named within one month after my decease item I give and bequeath unto Mary Crow another of the daughters of Jn Crow another of my grandchildren the sum of 20li of lawful english money to be paid by my executors hereafter named within one months next after my decease item I give and bequeath unto Jn Crow the son of Jn Crow my grandchild the sum of 20li of the like lawful money of England to be paid by my executors when he shall attain the age of 21yr item I give and bequeath unto Thos Osburne my grandchild the sum of 20s to be paid by my executors within one month next after my decease item I give and bequeath unto Edw Osburne another of my grandchildren the sum of 20s to be paid by my executors within one month after my decease and also my bed whereon I now lie with all things thereunto belonging as it now is item I give and bequeath unto Mary the wife of Thos Rayner of Earls Colne aforesaid and unto Sarah Osburne two other of my grandchildren all my pewter being nine pewter dishes two candlesticks and a chamberpot to be equally divided between them and as to the rest of my household stuff and implements of household money excepted I give to Ann the wife of Jn Crow my daughter to dispose amongst her children at her own discretion as she shall think fit and for the rest of my monies not herein by me heretofore not given and bequeathed I give the same unto Martha Crow Robt Crow and Eliz Crow and Sam Crow my grandchildren to be paid by my executors as they shall attain their several ages as follows the said Martha Crow to receive her part or moiety at her age of 18yr and the said Robt Crow and Sam Crow their parts when they shall attain to the ages of 21yr and Edw Crow one other of my grandchildren not before mentioned in this my will to have a part of the said monies not before bequeathed when he shall attain his age of 21yr and the said Eliz Crow to be paid at her age of 18yr and if my daughter Anna Crow should not deliver or resign the bedstead whereon I lie to Edw Osburne aforesaid according to the true intent and meaning of these presents then my will and mind is that the said Edw shall have his choice of several bedsteads that stand in the dwelling house of Jn Crow aforesaid which I left in his hands and I do nominate and appoint Thos Wright and Edw Johnson of Earls Colne aforesaid executors of this my last will and testament revoking and making void all other and former wills by me heretofore made declaring this to be my last will and testament and none other willing to allow all necessary charges and expenses and also for my funeral charges in witness hereunto I have set my hand and seal the day and year above written signed sealed published and declared we in the presence of the testatrix and she in the presence of us Sam Burton Jn Somervell mark Edw Warrin mark Anna Day
