Brownes and also in this court the court sitting came the aforesaid Ann and Jn Kent her husband and the aforesaid Jane and Thos Machin her husband and the aforesaid Agnes and Jn Bullock the said wives separately secretly and legitimately examined and acknowledged by the said steward according to the custom of the said manor surrendered into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the said steward all and singular their rights and interests which they have or any of them should have in the messuage and other premises with appurtenances as stated above or in any part thereof held by copy of a roll of the same court to the use and behoof of Margt Potter wife of Hugh Potter and the heirs of Margt herself forever upon which at this court the lord of the said manor by the hands of his said steward granted to the aforesaid Margt seisin of the said premises with appurtenances to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and she gave to the lord her fine and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord and now also to this court came Hugh Potter and Margt his wife Margt herself solely and secretly examined by the said steward according to the custom of the said manor and surrendered into the hands of the lord by the said steward the said messuage sometime of Rich Browne with a garden adjoining with appurtenances as by metes etc with a certain way pertaining to the messuage to carry and recarry from the garden of the said messuage into the lane called Berecroft Lane to the use and behoof of Margt herself for the term of her natural life and after her decease then the remainder thereof to Margt Bridge wife of Wm Bridge and daughter of the said Hugh and Margt and to the heirs of Margt Bridge herself forever upon which at this court the lord of the said manor by his said steward granted to them seisin thereof to have and to hold the said premises in manner and form as stated above from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they gave to the lord their fine and were admitted thereof tenants of the lord
