at this court it is shown by the homage that Thos Fisher son of Wm Fisher lately deceased after the last court and before this court viz 20.5.1631 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Jn Fisher instead of the bailiff in the presence of Robt Rookes and Lance Prior two customary tenants of the said manor the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor all that his customary lands and tenements called The Hayhouse with appurtenances and all his customary lands and tenements called The Slade and one other parcel of land containing by estimation 1a lying in Longlands to the use and behoof of Francis Nicholson gentleman and his heirs forever upon condition that if the said Thos Fisher his heirs executors or administrators well and truly pay or cause to be paid to the said Francis Nicholson his executors or assigns 4li in or upon the 21#.11.1631 following and 4li in or upon 21.5.1632 following and 4li in or upon 22.11.1632 and 4li in or upon 23.5.1633 and 4li in or upon 24#.11.1633 and 4li in or upon 25.5.1634 and to make all and every payment in or at the dwelling house of the said Francis Nicholson situated in Chappel parish that then the said surrender should be void and of no force
