and furthermore it was shown by the homage that the said Jn Church who held to himself and his heirs etc three parcel of land called Warkemans according as it is clearly shown by the court roll dated 28.3.1627 after the last court and before this court viz 24.4.1633 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Jn Read instead of the bailiff in the presence of Dan Lea and Barth Clarke two customary tenants of the said manor according to the custom of the said manor the three said parcels of land with appurtenances lying on the backside of the said messuage called Sonnells to the use and behoof of the said Frances his wife for the term of her life and after her death to the use of the said Jn his son and his heirs forever upon condition that the said Jn Church the father shall have the said three parcels of land with appurtenances for the term of his life and after his death that then the said Frances shall have the said three parcels for the term of her life and after her death that the said Jn the son shall have the premises for himself and his heirs forever whereupon came here into court the said Frances Church and humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have the said three parcels of land called Warkemans with appurtenances to the said Frances Church and her assigns for the term of her natural life the remainder thereunto in the said manner upon those said conditions to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and she gave to the lord her fine and thus was admitted tenant
