Stable and Cowhouse a way to Biercrofte Bromecrofts Berecrofte | fine 2s4d to this court came Agnes Bieston widow which held jointly with Thos Roote Jn Carter Jn Tillwick Wm Beald Jas Potter and Jn Wode yet living to them and their heirs to the use of the said Agnes and her heirs of the lord as of this manor by the rod etc one house called the Stable and the Cowhouse and one tenement builded with one garden parcel of the tenement sometime Robt Mathewes and after Thos Prynces as the foresaid Stable and the Cowhouse with the garden adjoining are situate and lie between the tenement late Jn Bonjons alias Turnor's and the tenement of Robt Lytman of the one part and a parcel of land sometime parcel of the Bercrofte of the other part with a way late parcel of Berecroft leading toward the said Berecrofte with free ingress and egress to carry drive etc and also three crofts of customary land called Bromecrofts lying in Colne aforesaid and one croft of customary land lying in Colne aforesaid called Barcrofte with the way leading to the said field aforesaid to drive and chase etc and one meadow late parcel of the croft called Berecroft containing by estimation 3a of land as by the metes and bounds etc the foresaid Agnes surrendered into the lord's hands all and singular the foresaid lands and tenements cottages ways meadows and other the premises with the appurtenances to the intent that the lord thereof so seised might regrant the said lands and tenements cottages ways meadows and other the premises with the appurtenances to the foresaid Agnes Bieston and her assigns during all the term of her life of the lord by the rod etc to remain after her decease to Geo Bieston son of the said Agnes and his heirs and the lord by virtue of the surrender aforesaid in the premises so seised at this present court by their steward aforesaid regranted out of their hands all the foresaid lands and tenements cottages ways meadows and other the premises with their appurtenances to the foresaid Agnes Bieston to hold to her and her assigns during the whole term of her life of the lord by the rod to remain after her decease to the foresaid Geo Bieston his heirs and assigns to which Agnes by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to the same Agnes and her assigns during the whole term of her life of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor to remain after her decease as above and the foresaid Agnes giveth fine as appears in the head and made fealty in the presence of Jn Wood vicebailiff Wm Orvys Hen Prentis Thos Harryson and Jn Game the lord's tenants |
