a purpresture Prudmans X a tenement called Goolds etc Xfine 2s it is found by the homage that Thos Awdeley gentleman out of the court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Wm Orvys one of the lord's tenants in the presence of Thos Waller likewise the lord's tenant and others the same witnessing one purpresture of land sometime Kath Prudmans after Wm Oldhalls and late Thos Bretts and one cartway parcel of the Tollehouse now builded on and one ditch there sometime Jn Mendhams and late the said Thos Bretts and likewise surrendered into the lord's hands one cartway leading from the king's highway over against the Stone Cross for an ingress to be had to the gate late Thos Bretts and also surrendered into the lord's hands one tenement or cottage with a garden adjoining and the appurtenances called Goolds situate and lying in Colne aforesaid late the said Thos Bretts deceased to the use and behoof of Jn Attewood his heirs and assigns who being present in the court came and craved to be admitted thereunto and because it is so found by the homage therefore he is admitted the lord's tenant to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor and he giveth fine and made fealty
