fine 30swhereas at a view with court here held on friday 23.9.22Eliz1 Francis Wentworthe was admitted tenant to himself and his heirs to one customary tenement with appurtenances lying next to Tollhouse Green called Wallers and to one parcel of customary land adjoining the tenement in length 3rod and a half and in breadth 2rod3ft of assize as shown by copy of court roll now it appears to the homage aforesaid that after the last court and out of court the aforesaid Francis Wentworth surrendered all and singular the aforesaid lands and tenements with appurtenances into the hands of the lord by the hands of Robt Reade instead of the bailiff in the presence of Humph Brock and Rich Parker two customary tenants of the manor witnessing according to the custom of the manor aforesaid to the work and use of Jn Gremard and Eliz his wife and their heirs on a condition that the aforesaid Jn Gremard his executors or assigns pay or cause to be paid to the aforesaid Francis Wentworth his executors or assigns the sum of 11li at the now mansion house of the said Robt Reade at of before the feast of michaelmas 29.9.1601 which Jn Gremard by the said Eliz his wife and deputy and the said Eliz present here in court was granted seisin of the premises to have and to hold to them and their heirs on the condition aforesaid to hold of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor aforesaid by the rents services and customs before due and of right accustomed and they gave their fine and were admitted tenants
