There are certain tenements and a quantity of land copyhold of the manor lying nearly together in the parishes of Castle and Sible Hedingham and of Great Maplestead of which I have obtained maps and quantities chiefly from the Commutation map of Sible Hedingham and from my own manorial maps and documents as will be seen on reference to the map no. 3 and forward page 181. With respect to the parcel attached to the vicarage of Gosfield, lying in Sible Hedingham and marked no. 1194 and called Alderford Hall Pasture containing 3r23p there may have been more as the vicarage has other pasturage adjoining. It was formerly in the possession, with other lands of Barth Hayward in 1630 - he sold two portions of this - and the quitrent of 1s6d was attached to that portion which afterwards became attached to the vicarage of Gosfield. It descended to Joseph Finch on the death of his father Wm (Edw Finch ) and he in the same year presented it to Walt Hart and his successors as vicars of the said vicarage of Gosfield as a perpetual augmentation of the said vicarage - From Walt Hart the title traced opposite
