fine 7dwhereas at a court here held 24.7.15Chas1 Wm Stanes was admitted tenant for himself and his heirs to one messuage or customary tenement with curtilage adjoining called Greenes and separately to one garden sometime parcel of a tenement called Jakes lying between the tenement sometime Hen Pullen's called Campions and the said tenement called Jakes as it is divided by the metes and bounds and to all other illegible text pertaining to the said messuage as is shown by the court roll now at this court it is shown by the homage that the said Wm Stanes after the last court viz 2.4.1647 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Wm Adams instead of the bailiff and in the presence of Edw Cresner and Hen Abbott two customary tenants of the said manor testifying the aforesaid messuage and other premises with appurtenances by name one messuage or tenement with curtilage called Greenes held with one garden parcel of a tenement called Jakes lying between a tenement late of Hen Pullen called Campions then in the tenure of Abraham Finch Jn Hinkin and Edith Gates to the use and behoof of Grace Abbott of Earls Colne spinster her heirs and assigns who present in court humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said messuage or tenement and other premises with appurtenances to the said Grace Abbott her heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and she paid her fine and made fealty
