Copyhold of Earldom - quitrent 6d Fred Harding Cawston 1.9.1841 at this court Wm Tawell jun and Sarah ( White ) his wife were admitted, the latter under the will of her father, after the death of his widow Sarah , who afterwards married Thos Wing and at the same court surrendered to Fred Harding Cawston all that customary messuage formerly into several tenements divided with yards, gardens etc. formerly Rich Appleton ( 1683 ) . And also all those three rods of land more or less formerly parcel of a curtilage belonging to a messuage formerly Thos Prior's - special court Tawell and wife paid death fine £28 F.H. Cawston paid purchase fine £20#

Abstract of title    

I believe a small portion at the far end of the garden is freehold purchased from Gilberts Orchard vide old Terrier Fo. 24 and map of tenement
